Rules, scoring, and strategy for EasyFantasy daily contests.
EasyFantasy is a daily fantasy football game based on Premier League matches. Each gameweek you pick a team of 5 players within a budget, and earn points based on their real FPL performance. The player with the most DFS points at the end of the gameweek wins the lobby.
Your team consists of exactly 5 players:
| Slot | Count | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| GK | 1 | Points from saves, clean sheets, penalty saves |
| DEF | 1 | Clean sheet bonus, goals and assists |
| MID | 1 | Goals, assists, minor clean sheet bonus |
| FWD | 1 | Goals and assists |
| FLEX | 1 | Any position — your wildcard pick |
Budget: £65m (5-player) or £100m (8-player). You must stay within budget — the game won't let you lock in an over-budget team.
Points are calculated using the standard FPL scoring rules:
| Event | GK | DEF | MID | FWD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Playing 60+ minutes | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 |
| Playing 1–59 minutes | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Goal scored | 6 | 6 | 5 | 4 |
| Assist | 3 | 3 | 3 | 3 |
| Clean sheet (60+ min) | 4 | 4 | 1 | — |
| Every 3 saves (GK) | 1 | — | — | — |
| Penalty save | 5 | — | — | — |
| Every 2 goals conceded | -1 | -1 | — | — |
| Yellow card | -1 | -1 | -1 | -1 |
| Red card | -3 | -3 | -3 | -3 |
| Bonus points | 1–3 | 1–3 | 1–3 | 1–3 |
Bonus points (1–3 pts) are awarded to the top 3 players in each match based on the FPL Bonus Point System (BPS).
Cheaper players earn a points multiplier as a reward for the extra risk they carry. The multiplier is based on how much cheaper the player is vs the most expensive player in their position:
| Price discount vs position max | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| Less than 8% | 1.0× — template pick, no bonus |
| 8–14.9% | 1.1× |
| 15–24.9% | 1.3× |
| 25–34.9% | 1.5× |
| 35–49.9% | 1.7× |
| 50% or more | 2.0× |
Example: the top FWD costs £13.0m. If you pick a FWD at £9.0m (31% cheaper), that player earns a 1.5× multiplier — every FPL point counts as 1.5 in the final tally.
When creating a lobby, the host can enable up to 3 chips that change how teams are built. All players in the lobby must follow the same rules.
You cannot pick two players from the same club. Forces broader selection and reduces the edge of targeting one in-form club.
All 5 players must have a multiplier of at least 1.3×. Bans template picks and rewards finding value across the whole team.
Budget is cut by ~20% (e.g. £65m → £52m in the 5-player format). Forces you to pick almost exclusively undervalued gems — no room for premium players.
Players from Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Spurs and Man United are banned. Rewards knowledge of the rest of the league.
All 5 players must come from the same club. High risk, high reward — if your club has a great gameweek you dominate; if not, everyone suffers equally. Cannot be combined with "1 per club".
By default, lobbies have no special rules. You can select up to 3 chips per lobby. Players who violate an active rule are greyed out during the draft.
Status updates roughly 1 hour before each match when teams are announced.
If one of your picks plays 0 minutes (didn't come on at all), the system automatically replaces them after the gameweek finishes:
You pick a MID at £9.5m with a 1.3× multiplier — he doesn't play. The system scans MIDs cheaper than £9.5m who played. The first match is a MID at £8.5m who scored 7 FPL pts. That player is subbed in and his points are multiplied by 1.3× → 9.1 DFS pts.
Auto-substitution only applies when a player gets exactly 0 minutes. A player who comes on for even 1 minute is counted normally — no sub is triggered.
A midfield diff pick (1.3× multiplier) who scores and keeps a clean sheet:
